Homestead Hospice is dedicated to our patients and their families. When someone you love is diagnosed with a
life limiting illness, everything changes. We are here to guide you through this difficult journey so that you can
spend quality time with your loved one.
Our Hospice Hotline - 877-355-4472 is designed to make it easy for you to get your questions answered any time
of the day and night. Call us and we will answer your questions over the phone and schedule to have a
representative come to speak to you in person at your earliest convenience.
Hospice Care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance. However, care is provided regardless
of ability to pay.
What is provided under hospice care?
All medications that are related to the terminal illness to provide comfort and independence
24-hour Nurses are on-call 7 days a week and will respond to your needs immediately
Durable medical equipment such as hosptial beds, oxygen, wheelchairs and other items to improve independence
All supplies related to the hospice diagnosis including dressing supplies for wounds, gloves, diapers, etc.
Supplies, equipment and medication are delivered directly to your home at no additional cost to you
Respite care is available through contracted facilities for up to five days
Music therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and nutritional counseling
Homestead Hospice offers (2) six-week bereavement support groups each quarter. Call anytime for times and
locations near you.
Homestead Hospice is very proactive about offering continuous care in your home for aggressive pain or symptom
management. It is our goal to keep our patients at home if at all possible. However, if patients need acute
hospitalizations or stays at hospice in-patient units, we also have contracts with these facilities to ensure all
care options are available to you at all times.
