MEDICAL DIRECTOR

The Attending Physician, as a member of the hospice team, provides the medical direction for patient/family care and treatment. This physician can be the patient's primary care physician or the Hospice Medical Director. The patient and/or family determine who they wish to have as their attending physician upon admission.

Our Hospice Medical Director will work with your own doctor or he/she can act as your primary care physician to oversee the care provided by the hospice team.

It is important to us that our patients and their families are comfortable with the decisions being made and a big part of that is to know who is helping to make those decisions. With other hospices you may never see the medical director but at Homestead Hospice our medical directors will visit you in your home, wherever home may be for you.
